Holy Spanish

My word, is it hot. Too hot. It's only May.

Otherwise, this week has been spent doing 'something'. It's my only week off for a long time, but I didn't feel satisfied, regardless of what I did. Not right. Maybe it's because I'm going to be off for a good while and there's nothing for me 'I should rather be doing'. It would probably be because I have nothing 'I have to do'. Probably my own fault, really. I've just gone and confused myself, really.

What's the plural of radius?

Y'know, a few decent days at the fairground. Understanding customers (you can tell what's coming soon), decent ride operating (aside from my ride breaking 'a bit' yesterday), and the ability to sit off and read for two of those days. But oh, oh some stupid arse had to ruin it. "We need First Aid!" the lager-gutted yob said. "My girl's grazed her knee". Holy shit. I know logic is seemingly difficult for people to come by these days, but oh. Oh.

"It's a graze", I told the ill-educated. "You could go to reception for a plaster, it's not worth calling a medic out for". Yes, a decent opinion. The last thing he could comprehend. "What do you need for fuckin' first aid, a broken neck?!?" said the eediot. I knew I should have said 'yes' and 'your IQ is only into double figures - and only just', but I didn't. Asshole.

And forsooth

Bastard. I would have said earlier, but Thursday was a day I would not like to repeat. I heard great bangs from our room at 11:30am. Blood from his mouth, shaking all over the place, with lips as blue as the sea. This was a hypo I had never seen Ray have before. If I hadn't acted like I did, he would have been in a condition I wouldn't want to think about. And, thankfully, I was the only one to see his state at the worst. But I completely lost my focus for the rest of the day. I messed up one of my exam questions, and felt quite low until I went home. Horrible day that will be consigned to the past.

Is this it?

I had my Japanese exam today. But, to be honest, it was easier than expected. To think, that in other exams, you would be given something like 50% of your course's marks based on what you remember for the exam, which could stretch up to roughly 500 words. In my language exam, you get given the equivalent of 1% for every word that is right. There's something up with that...but otherwise, using my hilariously inventive system for remembering the hiragana, I did pretty well in the reading and writing sections. I doubt anyone else could follow my amazing system, though.

There's something about this: fight!

I reckon that Aloe Vera will be discovered to have some sort of dreadful side-effect eventually, like oddly-coloured skin, or two belly-buttons. But that's my thought. Now, I don't know what I will do for my next exams, but I will have to be quick! For my revision is lagging. So I really need to learn about Chomsky, Piaget, Vygotsky, and some other children things, and the whole hiragana alphabet. Some task. To distract me from what I should be doing, I bought some demo disc. With Def Jam Vendetta (which certainly rocks)! Virtua Fighter 4 Evo (with crap new character)! And that's about it! Ho ho.

One down, two to go

My exam today, which is (hopefully, of course) the hardest. It didn't go that badly, but I have a feeling the mark will be pretty mediocre. Whatever happens, I just want to pass these exams with at least 60% on each to get somewhere. Er, as long as I make it through the week without 'doing a mad', I'll probably be ok. And then I'll slip off into routine, like last year, which involved working, working, and no wrestling mats. Shit. At least I can play football on Mondays.

Hardest day of work in my lives

Ok, work. Work. No, not today. Did two rides. It rained. Got about 25 customers on both within two hours. No one else after that. It rained hard, man. So I spent time on another ride socialising with Chris B. Doing sod all, really. From 10:30 to 4:30. Tomorrow: just as easy. The hard part will be revision. Egads, egads, I cannot fathom, I say. I cannot wait for this week to be over, although I cannot wait to see Ze Matriques on Wednesday. Or Def Jam Vendetta...or something else, or something, something, Animatrix on Wednesday as well!, something.

Super average

I haven't played an 'average' game for ages. But today that ages was no more, for I played two fun but barely taxing games.

First was Shinobi. It is fun, if a little unfair, but it's just a bit dull, really. Run on walls, stab with your super ninja-powers, and so forth, but it doesn't last. I might get the demo disc to have some fun to. The next game was 'The Matrix' - whilst it does include many flippery dippery shit and kick the crap out of many people, it feels rather arduous. Half the impressive moves you do are completely accidental, but it's quite the barrel of laughs it intends to be. Pity it's only okay. Like Splinter Cell meets Max Payne, makes love, and the offspring is this.

Sepia Tones are the rage, m'lord

Twattwattwat. Not even Dylan Moran of 'Black Books' fame starring in a film can save me from the annoyance of exams. I mean...history of psychology? I was pants at history in GCSE years. Child development exam will be far easier since I've already done that sort of thing twice before (in A-level Psychology AND English Language). Meanwhile...for Japanese...aaagh. All I can do is flick through the poorly made magazine 'GamesTM' and note how many times they are getting the phrasing completely wrong.

'Hey! I only just got here. What's going on?'

Bloody revision. Only when you start you realise how much you have to do. Anyway, for the interesting-o-meter from the fairground...

On Saturday, Freudian slips got in my way. But not revealing any disturbing secrets I may be hiding, but just being reminded of things when I see them. Like: look at child's wristband. 'All day wristband', says it. 'All-day wrestling', I thought. 'Can I see your wrestling?' asks I. Um. Next, I see an ill-behaving dog. Turn to see two kids acting annoyingly. 'Stop acting like a pair of rabies', I says. Ahem, I say.

Sunday, I peered at the behaviours of the birds residing on my ride all day. I'm sure one of them was pregnant. I noticed that they played music more advanced than the 80s - music from the 60s and 70s. There's nothing like funk to spunk the day up, dude. I rock.

Freeview

Got one of those boxes 'that enables you to have 30 channels'. Heh. Don't know what the feck BBC are playing at with CBBC channel, but, in a word, it's gobshite. They have an absolute plethora of stuff, so what do they show? Crappy children's dramas. They're always crap. Also, the music channels play about 10 videos a day, BBC3 is arse, BBC4 requires plenty of patience, ITV2 is one long crap program about people stuck in a forest, and five has disappeared altogether. Still, BBC1Xtra, BBC6, BBC7, Kerrang Radio and possibly jazz FM are all good stuff.

I'm not screwed!

Did work. Marvel. Now to start revising for exams, finish on May 23, and then have a 4 month Summer holiday. And I lied to myself, for I believed that I could avoid the temptation of Zelda until t'end o' May. I was wrong. Is good, but I'm aaages away from finishing it. Which is a good thing, but with Ray playing it a lot more, it's being ruined a lot. And it's too gorgeous to ignore. Ooh. Aah. And so forth. But, May 23? Matrix: Reloaded! I'm gonna be doing my Japanese exam at 4, knowing that everyone else in the world will have seen it, and I will be going mental. The trailer may me WET MY PANTS. It rocked. And it's got British Twins in it (regardless of only ever doing a gardening show).

Bollicksy bollicks

Goddamnit, I'm screwed! No information to work from, mainly being 'results' section, I do not know how I'm going to do my goddamn 2,000 word essay for Tuesday. There's going to be words thrown about by me...

02 May 2003

There's always one better

"Yeah." I thought. "Looks nice". So I got the mobile phone, hoping to impress. Sh'yeah. That lasted long. Ray got one too. Except his cost nearly three times as much and beats mine to a bloody pulp in every fashion. 'Tis not fair, I tell you. Some crappy games, some pitiful ringtones, a camera attachment as good as the old Game Boy one - or I'm really just comparing it to Rays. Still, it makes phone calls just as well.

Vote out the BNP

Quite frankly, a spur-of-the-moment choice. Going home on l'autobus. As this is my first year, should I vote? I mean, what difference would I make? As I saw the stop I would've got off to vote, I saw two coffin-dodgers getting off. 'They must be voting conservative...', I thought, '...which means my vote may make a difference after all!' Regardless of the fact that they weren't actually getting off to vote, I put my paper in for the 'Lib Dems' anyway. I think they won, again.
